Horse Stone Naze, Grinah Stones...

Horse Stone - T. Hutty

The Horse Stone stands above the upper Derwent valley, north of Howden Reservoir. It is an excellent viewpoint, offering views southward towards Win Hill and beyond (above) and to Kinder Scout; westward to Bleaklow and the source of the Derwent; northward to Black Hill and eastward to Margery Hill.

View from Grinah Stones - T. Hutty

Grinah Stones stands further west on the flanks of Bleaklow. This view below an overhanging outcrop  includes Win Hill and Bamford moor in the distance.

Dreariness - T. Hutty

From below Horse Stone Naze, a dreary view towards - I think - Derwent Edge.
